We are not islands. We are all influenced by something and someone. We all influence someone as well. It is why we have to be wise as to who we allow to speak into our lives and what we speak. We have to be wise in knowing where are weaknesses are. We have to be wise in knowing when I value someone to the extent that they do have influence over me for the good or bad. Scripture says, “Evil communication corrupts good manners.” Evil is defined as harmful or injurious. Be careful! Watch how you feel after you leave someone. Watch if you change your principles or value system because of whom you have been around. We are all susceptible to having our good manners corrupted. And make note of when you are being the corrupter.
